Privacy Policy — BikeStats

Last updated: July 2026

Summary

BikeStats stores no data of its own. It reads cycling workout data that already exists in Apple Health on your device, performs all calculations locally, and displays the results. Nothing is uploaded, transmitted, or shared.

Data We Access

BikeStats requests read-only access to Apple Health. It reads:

BikeStats reads this data only when you open the app and only to display your stats. No Health data is written back to Apple Health.

On-Device Processing

All calculations — including the indoor distance estimation — are performed entirely on your device. BikeStats has no server, no backend, and no network connection of any kind. Your Health data never leaves your device.

Indoor Distance Estimation

For indoor cycling sessions that do not have recorded distance, BikeStats calculates an estimated distance using your average outdoor cycling speed from the same year (or the nearest available year). This calculation runs locally on your device and is stored only in memory while the app is open.

Data We Do Not Collect

Apple Health Integration

BikeStats participates in Apple’s HealthKit framework. Per Apple’s rules, HealthKit data is used exclusively to provide app functionality. We do not use your Health data for advertising, market research, or any purpose unrelated to displaying your cycling statistics.

Purchases

BikeStats is a one-time paid app. The purchase is processed entirely by Apple through your Apple ID. We never see your payment details or billing information.

Children’s Privacy

BikeStats is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date above will reflect any changes. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
