Privacy Policy — MySleepMusic

Summary

MySleepMusic stores all your data on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share your personal information.

Data We Store

MySleepMusic has no account or sign-in of any kind. All data is stored locally on your device:

• Your sleep playlist (references to tracks in your music library, stored in UserDefaults)
• Sleep timer and fade preferences (duration, fade start offset, step size, play-forever settings)
• Your preferred default volume
• Purchase status (cached locally, verified against Apple’s records at launch)

Music Library Access

MySleepMusic requests access to your music library via Apple’s MediaPlayer framework. This access is used solely to:

• Let you browse and select tracks from your library to build a sleep playlist
• Play those tracks using Apple’s on-device music player

MySleepMusic does not read, copy, transmit, or store any metadata about your music library beyond the list of tracks you explicitly add to your sleep playlist. Your music is played entirely on-device. No audio or track information leaves your device.

You can manage music library permissions at any time in iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Media & Apple Music → MySleepMusic.

Screen Brightness

MySleepMusic includes an optional screen-dimming feature that reduces screen brightness while music plays to protect your sleep. This is performed entirely on-device and no brightness data is collected or transmitted.

Data We Do Not Collect

• We do not use analytics or crash reporting tools
• We do not track your location
• We do not collect device identifiers
• We do not share any data with third parties
• We do not have servers or a backend

Purchases

In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple. We receive only a verified transaction confirmation — we never see your payment information. See Apple’s Privacy Policy at https://www.apple.com/legal/privacy for details on how Apple handles payment data.

Children’s Privacy

This app is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance. The “Last updated” date above will reflect any changes.
