PillBox is built for family caregivers who fill and manage a weekly pill organizer (Sun–Sat, Morning/Noon/Night) for a parent or other loved one. It mirrors your physical pillbox layout, tracks how many pills of each medication you have left, and reminds you before a prescription runs out — so filling the box each week is fast, and refills never sneak up on you.
PillBox is a caregiver organizational tool. It is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice.
Who is PillBox for? The caregiver — you (and, if you use it together, another family member who shares the filling duties). It’s not meant to be used directly by the person taking the medication.
Does PillBox need an account? No sign-in with us. Your data syncs through your own private iCloud account, the same way Apple Notes or Reminders does.
How does the refill reminder work? Each medication has its own inventory count and its own alert threshold (in days). PillBox estimates days of supply remaining from your weekly dosing schedule and notifies you once that medication crosses its threshold — so a prescription with a slow pharmacy turnaround can be flagged earlier than one you can refill same-day.
Can I attach a photo of the pill? Yes — you can attach both a photo of the individual pill and a photo of the medicine strip/sheet, which is especially useful for identifying strip-packaged medications.
Does it work for more than one person? Yes. Add each person you’re tracking medications for (e.g. Mom and Dad) and switch between them.
How much does it cost? PillBox is free, with no in-app purchases or subscriptions.
